ACE Center Project Earns Home Depot Grant

Woodbury University's ACE Center Design/Build project on the Shadow Hills Riding Club Site been awarded a significant grant from Home Depot: $10,000 in materials towards the completion of the 150 foot long deck and public space. The Shadow Hills Riding Club employs equestrian therapy to help peoples with emotional, developmental, and physical disabilities including veterans, and children. Woodbury School of Architecture students, under the direction of Jeanine Centuori and Sonny Ward, designed and built three sleeping cabins this past spring semester. This fall semester, students will design and build three new cabins. Sheds donated by Backyard Products and More provide the starting point for their designs. Construction kicks off with a volunteer day on Sept 12.  Organized by Home Depot and Los Angeles works, it will involve 30–40 volunteers.
