Graphic Design Professors Speak on Visual Information Systems for Assessment

Professors Sue Vessella, Behnoush McKay, and Cate Roman’s presentation, “An Innovative Methodology Using Visual Information Systems for Assessment”, showcases the Woodbury University Graphic Design programs’ system for student learning outcomes assessment. The professors will speak at the 2012 Hawaii International Conference on Arts & Humanities. The process utilizes graphic systems and a delivery method, which makes the process of assessment easier to understand, evaluate, and communicate to faculty and students. This approach promotes active involvement in the process of learning and provides feedback to students so they assume responsibility for their improvement. The system has reached beyond the program and been recognized among the educational and professional communities.
