Dr. Christine Carmichael has been appointed chair of the newly created department of sciences and Prof. Marty Tippens has been appointed chair of the newly created department of mathematics. Dr. Rich Matzen, formerly director of the writing program, is now chair of the department of writing and Dr. Will McConnell, Assistant Dean, is now also chair of the department of interdisciplinary studies.
