Initial Credit Summer School

This program offers students entering grades 9-12 access to quality instruction in a variety of subjects.  Students may enroll for initial course credit or take a class to improve a grade for one semester or a full year of high school credit.  Initial credit is only given to students taking the full 10 credit course.

Courses Offered

Please note that these classes represent what is typically offered.  The exact courses to be offered for Summer 2013 are yet to be determined and will rely heavily on student needs. A course with less than 15 students enrolled by May 24 may be canceled.  Students already enrolled may either choose another course or will be granted a full refund.

Algebra II Pre-Calculus
Calculus Spanish II and III
Geometry US History
Health* World History

*Recommended for incoming 9th grade students

Schedule

Classes meet Monday – Thursday*, 7:40 AM – 1 PM

Semesters A & B (the high school equivalent of one academic year):
Monday, June 3 – Thursday, July 11, 2013*

Semester A only (the high school equivalent of the fall semester):
Monday, June 3 – Thursday, June 20, 2013

Semester B only (the high school equivalent of the spring semester):
Monday, June 24 – Thursday, July 11, 2013**

*For the first week, classes will be held Monday – Friday (June 3 – 7).  For all other weeks (except the week of Independence Day), classes will meet Monday – Thursday.  Classes will not be held on Thursday, July 4 or Friday, July 5th

Costs

Semesters A & B (yearlong class): $475
Semester A or B (one semester): $240

Cancellations must be emailed to Kelly Dodge (kelly.dodge@woodbury.edu).  A full refund will be granted to students who cancel enrollment by 5 PM on May 24, 2013.  Cancellations received after 5 PM on May 24 and before 1 PM on the second day of class (either Tuesday, June 4 or, if enrolled in Semester B only, Tuesday, June 25) will be awarded a 50% refund.  Refunds will not be granted after the second day of class.  

Full refunds will be given to students who enroll in a class that is cancelled due to low enrollment.
