General Information

NOTE: Due to an increased number of graduates, Woodbury University is anticipating large crowds on commencement day. It is strongly recommended that vendors for graduation items, photos and DVD, flowers, etc. are contacted in advance.

Accessibility

Parking and Seating for disabled students and guests with special needs will be available in the West (Main) Lot on campus. Requests for parking and seating are available online and should be submitted no later than May 2, 2013.

Commencement DVD

Arka Photography is the official videographer for Commencement. Pre-order your copy of the commemorative Commencement DVD at the Grad Fair or by calling (323) 660-7573.

Guests are welcome to record the ceremony in designated photography areas (first-come, first-served). For the viewing pleasure and safety of other guests, please comply with Commencement Officials in enforcing the designated photography area boundaries.

Flowers

HI Flowers will be on campus the morning of Commencement with floral arrangements available on a cash only basis. Leis and other arrangements can be pre ordered at the Grad Fair or by calling (818) 238-0000.

Food Services

Continental reception in New Woody's from 7 am to 8 am. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase during and after the ceremony.

Guest Entry and Seating

Tickets will not be required for admittance to the ceremony. As a courtesy to others sharing this experience, it is suggested that graduates limit their guest count to ten (10) people (children included). Groups are encouraged to arrive early and together in order to sit together.

Seating will be available in the Alumni Quad and throughout campus in the New Woody's Dining Room, Fletcher Jones Foundation Auditorium, and upper field. Guests can view the ceremony via live feed in locations away from the Alumni Quad.

Pets are prohibited, with the exception of service animals.

Parking

Woodbury University parking lots will be open on Commencement day. Parking for graduates and guests will be available on a first-come, first-served basis - so be sure to arrive early! Once a lot is full, guests will be directed to remote parking lots. Shuttles will be available to and from campus to remote lots. Please do not park at 7-Eleven, Hill Street Cafe, neighboring streets or any unauthorized parking zones.

Please note that stretch limousines, RVs and other over-sized vehicles will not be permitted on campus. Passengers of such vehicles must be dropped off at the front gate just past the main entrance at the bus stop.

Photography

Ultimate Exposures is the official photography vendor for Commencement. They will be taking individual photos of graduates during the ceremony. Group photos will be available by request after the ceremonies. Proofs of any photos will be sent directly to your home by the photographer. Ultimate Exposures is currently taking appointments for formal portraits. Appointments can be made online. Ultimate Exposures will also be at the Grad Fair for portraits and advance orders.

Woodbury Gear

Woodbury University's Campus Bookstore will open at 8am on Commencement Day. A varied selection of Woodbury shirts, caps, and novelties will be available for purchasse. The Campus Bookstore is available for online shopping and accepts cash, checks (up to $500), MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards.

Weather

Traditionally, weather has been cool early but can be quite warm later in the day. Please plan accordingly as portions of the seating area are not shaded.
